We offer financing through Synchrony Financial’s Home Design program for both repairs and larger projects, such as panel upgrades, whole-home rewiring, EV charger installation, and standby generator installation. Financing is also available for emergency and same-day work, not just planned projects. That matters when a panel fails or a service entrance needs to be replaced without warning. You can apply before your appointment or while a technician is on site.

Synchrony makes the approval decision and sets the credit criteria, not CMC Electric. We intentionally keep more than one path open, so your credit history isn’t the only deciding factor. Many customers receive same-day approval, and we also offer options that don’t require a credit check if you’d rather not have your credit pulled. Because Synchrony handles the underwriting, we can’t pre-qualify you over the phone. We can, however, walk you through which option fits your situation before you apply.

Your application goes directly to the lender, not to CMC, and you’ll often get a decision the same day. We run promotional rates at select times, and that’s when no-interest and deferred-payment offers appear, when available. Promotions change and aren’t always running, so what’s available depends on when you apply. Monthly payments go directly to Synchrony, not CMC Electric. Once you’re approved, Synchrony sets up your account and provides your statement, due date, and payment options, typically online, by phone, by mail, or by autopay. Early payoff terms are set out in the agreement you receive at approval, so review that document or contact Synchrony for the exact terms on your account.
Paying down a balance early is generally worthwhile if you’re on a promotional-rate plan, since promotional periods are time-limited. Your Synchrony statement and online account will show your balance, rate, and the end date of any promotional period.
